Where to Recycle
The Champaign County Electronics Recycling Guide lists local businesses that accept electronics for recycling. The guide includes a summary of the items accepted at each location, as well as contact information, and dates for any upcoming free county-wide electronics collection events.
If you’re outside the Champaign-Urbana area, contact your local recycling coordinator or consult the Illinois EPA Services Map to find electronics recycling options in your area. If you still are having trouble finding appropriate options for the item you want to recycle, contact us, and we’ll do our best to help you figure it out!

Illinois State Law
As of January 1, 2012, local waste haulers no longer accept 17 categories of electronic items listed below with your regular trash collection, as these have been banned from Illinois landfills.
